All that's required is a pressure-regulated source of clean air or nitrogen and you can be testing and calibrating pressure gauges, transducers, etc. with a primary standard dead weight tester which has an accuracy rating of +/- 0.015% to +/- 0.025% of reading, depending on the piston/cylinder being used. Three piston/cylinder combinations provide pressure outputs of 0.3 to 5 PSI, 1.5 to 50 PSI and 15 to 500 PSI. Switching piston/cylinder combinations is simple and quick, taking only a few seconds. Absolute and gauge pressures may be generated by this dead weight tester (a vacuum source is required for absolute pressure generation).
